I've been struggling with my weight for a long time. I lost 50 pounds a few years back only to gain it back after a year or so. I decided to get serious about losing weight because my quality of life was beginning to suffer. I was really having trouble sleeping and when my family went on vacation I thought I was going to die while playing football on the beach with my buddies and our kids. I don't want to leave my kids fatherless; I want to be around to watch them grow.
Healthy Living With Ellie is different because it's not a diet, it's a way of life. If you fall off you can easily get on track. My favorite part of the program is the fact that you really can eat anything you want. Ellie also really taught me the value of eating slower and having smaller portions. My favorite Ellie recipe is the stuffed turkey burgers with mozzarella cheese and red peppers; so good. I also discovered how much I really enjoy walking (especially with my Ipod). Since following Ellie's plan, I've lost almost 15 pounds, I sleep a lot better and clothes look and feel better on me. I would definitely encourage others to get started; it's fairly easy to do, you just have to want it.
Want to feel full, fast? Eating intuitively — listening to your body — is the best form of portion control. Try eating slower and tasting each individual bite. You'll probably find that not only are you eating less, but you're enjoying your food more!
